đ§ Why Starting a Padel YouTube Channel (Even with 0 Audience) Is The Greatest Asset You Can Create
If youâve ever thought, âIâd love to share my Padel matches online - but I donât know where to startâ, youâre not alone.
Hereâs the truth: you donât need to be a pro player or editor to build something meaningful. You just need a phone, curiosity, and a willingness to document your progress.
2025, 2026 and beyond is a massive opportunity window for Padel creators. The sport is exploding in popularity, but online storytelling in Padel is still at ground level. That means thereâs space for you - the everyday player, the learner, the person improving one game at a time.
YouTube isnât just a platform anymore; itâs a search engine for passion. People arenât only looking for pros - theyâre searching for relatable journeys.
Thatâs exactly how I started.
In late 2024, I recorded my first ever Padel footage at Padel4all Garons Park in Southend, UK. I didnât know camera angles, I didnât know how to edit - I just hit record. That clip became the seed of what grew into a monetized channel, brand sponsors, and collaborations with some of the UKâs best players - all in under a year.
Since then, I uploaded my first YouTube video on the 20th December 2024, built out the channel to over 6,600 subscribers, over 120,000 views, become monetized on YouTube, secured brand sponsorships and am earning doing what I love, Padel.
It's at this point that I will tell you, i've also built PadelTuber, which is a step by step course and community to documenting, growing and monetising your very own Padel Content Brand online, in the exact same way I do.
If youâve been on the fence about starting, hereâs exactly how to do it right.
1ď¸âŁ Choose Your Journey Type
Every great Padel channel starts with a story. The easiest way to stand out is to decide what journey you want to document. It's not about just doing what everyone else is doing, that's the number 1 way to struggle and be doing things that are saturated.
Best way to do this is to select core goals that you personally want to achieve in Padel, and then form your channel identity around those goals.
Here is a formula to help you do that..
Formula: Road to [Goal]
Perfect if your channel is about chasing a bold, competitive target.
â Road to Grade 1
â Road to Top 50
â Road to the Nationals
All your content would be the logical steps in order to achieve that goal.
I've written a post how to build endless content from your journey which you can read right here
đ Inside PadelTuber, we help you map your journey type to your upload plan so you never run out of content ideas, by selecting 3 core goals (run through this in depth), I'll also give you 4 different and varied formulas that you can use so that your brand is unique from everyone elses.
2ď¸âŁ Create Your Channel and Feeder Platforms
Once you know your focus, itâs time to build your ecosystem - where your audience will find and follow you.
Start with:
YouTube (your main platform)
Instagram (your content âfeederâ - where clips drive people to YouTube)
Linkedin: For sponsorships (the main hub for this)
Keep your handles the same or at least similar across all platforms if possible - e.g. @PadelWithJames.
Write a clear bio that tells people who you are and what youâre sharing.
Note: Inside PadelTuber, youâll find the step by step approach as I start a channel from scratch, with how to create the branding, through to adding your feeder channels, showing my real life examples of what I use.
3ď¸âŁ Get Your Essential Gear (and Only What You Need)
Donât overcomplicate it - to start a Padel YouTube channel, you need just two things:
A smartphone
A tripod
As you grow, you can add:
A second camera for alternate angles
A wireless mic if youâre doing commentary or coaching content
An upgraded camera
But remember: the story beats the setup every time.
The full camera guide and angle breakdowns live inside PadelTuber - so you know exactly how to frame, follow, and capture every rally.
4ď¸âŁ Know Your Angles (and Why They Matter)
Angles decide how âwatchableâ your content is.
Most new creators set the camera too low or too close - and it kills the viewing experience.
Here are three simple setups that work:
Baseline Wide: tripod at the back of the court, capturing full play.
Side Angle: focused on your side of the court to give a more personal touch (I use this heavily)
Coach Cam: close up side shot for feedback and lesson style content.
đ PadelTuber includes visual angle templates showing how to nail each setup for storytelling and gameplay clarity.
5ď¸âŁ Record Your Progress (Step by Step)
Now, youâre ready to capture your story.
Start simple:
Record a full match or lesson from start to finish - based on what your core goals are
Save your footage and transfer to your computer/laptop.
Your goal isnât to create perfection - itâs to document the process.
Audiences love to see honest progress, and Padel fans in particular connect deeply with creators who show the highs and the mistakes.
6ď¸âŁ Edit, Donât Overedit
Editing is where your story comes alive - but it doesnât have to take forever.
Your videos can be edited using a tool like Capcut.
The goal: have a structure to follow, trim dead time, highlight great rallies, and tell your story.
Inside PadelTuber, we go far deeper - showing you the full workflow I use to turn raw footage into published content, including:
The HITPO structure (used in every one of my videos)
Full editing walkthrough (2 hours from raw to publish)
Thumbnail and title frameworks that attract viewers organically
For now, just focus on getting your first video out there. Check out my first ever upload below:
7ď¸âŁ Publish and Promote (The Smart Way)
Publishing isnât the end - itâs the beginning.
Hereâs how to make your video actually get seen:
Write a clear title (âMy First Padel Match Ever â What I Learnedâ).
Add a thumbnail with emotion (faces + contrast win).
Post 2â3 Instagram Reels/Stories with short, punchy captions to drive people to YouTube.
Ask the club, coach, or players you recorded the video with, to share it.
Within PadelTuber, youâll also find strategies for early audience growth, collaborations, and sponsorship attraction - all built for players, not marketers.
8ď¸âŁ Keep Building (Iterate, Donât Overthink)
The biggest mistake creators make? Uploading once, waiting for results, and quitting.
Your first few videos wonât be perfect - thatâs the point. The algorithm rewards consistency and improvement.
Think of it like your Padel training: repetition builds skill.
Every upload gets easier, every story gets clearer, and every time you hit record, youâre refining your creator identity.
đ Whatâs Next: Turn Your Footage Into Your Brand
If youâve followed this far, you already know what to do next:
Pick your journey type.
Create your channel.
Record your first session.
Thatâs the start of something bigger - because once you do, youâll realise the opportunity isnât just in filming your Padel⌠itâs in building your name through it.
đ Inside PadelTuber, youâll find the exact system I used to:
Grow my channel from 0 to 6,000+ subscribers
Land sponsorships (including Y1 Padel)
And build an audience that now helps fund my game.
Explore PadelTuber and follow the same blueprint thatâs helping players worldwide turn their passion into content that pays.
đĄ Final Word
Most players dream of improving their Padel.
But the few who document it? They open doors.
The only difference between those who wish and those who win is pressing record.
